Earning

The system auto calculates earning for both drivers and vendors. This earnings are calculated by either order subtotal(for vendors) or delivery fee(for drivers) and system defined commission is deducted from the calculated amount.

For example, if vendor system commission is 10%, this means that 90% (100 - 10) of order subtotal amount is calculated and saved as earned amount for the vendor. Same goes for the drivers.

As you can see from above finance settings page, there are different option/settings to be enable/disable to calculate earning base on your business model.

Let's quickly run through what each settings mean.

Refer system:

This is to allow customer/users refer new users and earn a certain point/amount

Refer amount:

amount awarded to users that refer another user

Vendor earning:

This is use to determine if the system should calculate any earning amount for the vendors any order completion.

This is useful incase of single-vendor, in cases where the system only is the only vendor on the platform, or you take physical payment from the vendors etc.

Driver Wallet Balance Require:

This is to validate if Driver must have enough in wallet balance irrespective of the payment method to be assigned to the order. i.e if driver has $20 in his/her wallet, he/she can only assigned/accept order of a total amount less or equal to $20.

This is ideal for case were, you want driver to have enough money to cover damages or missing order.

Driver Wallet System:

With this, it means that driver will have to get enough amount in wallet to be able to accept order especially Cash payment, after order completion, the system commission is automatically deducted from driver wallet balance.

But in a case of Online payment[stripe, paystack etc.] the amount is rather added to the driver wallet balance.

This is because, with Cash on delivery(COD), amount is with driver already, so system just take out from the wallet balance rather than wait for the driver to come to the office for physical money remittance.

General Drivers Commission(%)

This will be use for calculating drivers commission after order delivery.

Note: Please be aware that this will only apply to drivers that has no commission set for them on their profile. When creating a driver you are given an input field to enter system commission. If you leave the commission field empty only then can this general commission be applied to the driver.

General Vendors Commission(%)

This will be use for calculating vendors commission after order delivery.

If you leave the commission field empty only then can this general commission be applied to the vendor earning calculation.

Minimum Wallet Topup Amount

This is the minimum amount a driver/customer can topup their account with. If left empty, they can topup any valid decimal place amount e.g 0.01

Vendor can set delivery fee

This is a setting to allow vendor manager themselves set their delivery fee. If disabled, only admin can set delivery fee for vendor.
